History

Nigel Satterley formed the Satterley Property Group in 1980. In less than two decades, the company had grown from a small suburban agency into Western Australia's largest independently owned property operation. The company specialises in residential sales, property management, land estate sales, commercial sales and leasing, project management/coordination, project financing, development analysis and urban renewal.

In the financial year of 2005/2006, the Group sold hundreds of residential properties and 3,300 homesites with a total value in excess of $800 million. Satterley Property Group is also the largest seller of residential building blocks for the private sector, and has the most extensive project management portfolio in Western Australia with a total of more than 38,000 lots. Since 1995, Satterley has won close to 70 prestigious international, national and state awards for excellence in creating residential communities and for environmental excellence and urban renewal.

In recent times, Nigel Satterley has achieved a unique double. He has won the Urban Development Institute of Australia's President's Award and the Real Estate Institute of WA's Kevin Sullivan Memorial Award. Both are symbols of exemplary excellence and leadership in their respective fields.

Satterley employs more than 90 full-time staff, comprised of sales personnel, valuers, project managers, building construction managers, licensed builders, building estimators, analysts, property managers, community liaison manager, financial management, administration and clerical staff.

Satterley has an established track record of sound, reliable performance. The company receives instructions to act on behalf of State and Federal Government departments and agencies, leading Australian financial institutions, public companies, and private investors.

Satterley Property Group has been involved in more than 130 residential estates ranging in size from the 13-lot former Majestic Hotel site in Applecross to the Brighton Estate, near Quinns, which is comprised of more than 8,000 dwellings.

Satterley Property Group currently project manages nine of the largest residential developments in Western Australia. They are Secret Harbour, Beaumaris, Dalyellup Beach, Brighton Estate, Austin Cove in the Shire of Murray, Provence in Busselton and the New North and New Kwinana Redevelopment Projects. The company has consistently demonstrated the ability to resolve difficult and complex issues. Dalyellup Beach Estate and Brighton Estate are the two most active residential estates in Western Australia and among the fastest selling in Australia.

In association with the McCusker Group, Satterley has undertaken the Kwinana Redevelopment project and The New North - (Balga, Westminster, Koondoola and Girrawheen), which are among the largest urban renewal and beautification projects in Australia. They are being rejuvenated on behalf of the Government of Western Australia and involve the refurbishment of 1,300 dwellings and the creation of 3,500 housing lots in the New Kwinana and 3,050 dwellings in the New North.

The New Kwinana has received international recognition for excellence by the International Real Estate Federation, was a finalist in the award for the Public Sector and won the 1998 UDIA Award for Excellence - Urban Renewal. The New North won the 2001 UDIA Award for Excellence - Urban Renewal. However, this outstanding urban renewal program's greatest accolade was winning the 1999 World Habitat Award.
