Another milestone was reached at Austin Cove last weekend.
The new $400,000 causeway connecting the estate’s two home building stages was opened to traffic.
The buying public can now access the 73 new lots in Stage 2.1 – and personally select the sites of their choice.
Twelve sites have already been sold off the plan but project manager Ron Lyster, who has been supervising the development of the master-planned estate, says the new causeway will make it much easier for both buyers and visitors.
Entry to the ten hectares is through the established entrance on South Yunderup Road. Entry from the south side of the project is under negotiation.
A landscaping program encompassing the new 73 lots was scheduled to begin this week.
Satterley chief executive Nigel Satterley said the completed causeway was another major step forward in the development of what he calls one of the most distinctive residential estates south of Perth.
Lots from $160,000
“Lots are on offer at Austin Cove from $160,000,” he said.
“Adjacent to Stage 2 will be the brilliant $16million lake, the biggest of its kind on a residential estate.
“The new Satterley sales and information centre is also being built nearby.
“An indication of the attraction of the Peel Inlet is the fact that 152 lots have already been sold and the proposed Baptist College has taken registrations for 400 pupils. It opens next year.”
Twenty leading builders are represented in the display village, which is the biggest in the Peel area.
Visitors to Austin Cove can inspect 19 completed display homes. Another display home is almost ready for business and the 21st is under construction.
These display homes are fitted with the latest devices and lifestyle ideas.
Mr Satterley says Austin Cove offers an outstanding one-off opportunity for families to have the best in living standards backed up by marvellous aquatic and recreational pursuits.
Pockets of open space
He said visitors to the estate will be impressed with the large pockets of open space which make living at Austin Cove such a delight.
He added: “Residents are surrounded by superb natural beauty while at the same time they enjoy modern city facilities.”
Essential services and other infrastructure are in place. This includes upgraded public facilities such as the main sporting oval and the Sandy Cove picnic area.
Austin Cove is on the doorstep of the Peel Inlet, the venue for thousands of West Australians who enjoy catching blue swimmer crabs, fishing or boating.

Modern Display Village on Site
The best way to sum up Austin Cove is to visit the Sales and Information Centre located on Byron Drive (off South Yunderup Road), South Yunderup on Saturday & Sunday (1pm to 5pm) or on Monday & Wednesday (2pm – 5pm.)
Austin Cove is strategically placed within a short drive of Mandurah, Pinjarra or Dwellingup with the outstanding lifestyles these centres offer. Access to Perth or Bunbury has been enhanced by both the Perth to Mandurah railway and the extension of Kwinana Freeway.
As in all Satterley Property Group communities, Austin Cove will have a comprehensive Community Development Program to ensure that use of physical resources and facilities can be utilised by all residents.
In addition to the organised lifestyle activities, there will be childcare facilities and a dedicated Austin Cove Community Centre which will serve as the focus for the year ‘round community events and activities involving social groups and babysitting clubs, sporting bodies and cultural event organisers.
Because there’s more than five times as much open space for Austin Cove residents to enjoy (when compared with traditional residential sub-divisions) the scope of your lifestyle options here is increased dramatically.
The eventual population of about 7000 people will be living in nature’s playground.
