More than half the population of Brighton estate packed the estate’s Brampton Park for the Foundation Day free Satterley Picnic in the Park.

The 5000 people enjoyed perfect weather conditions for the two-and-a-half hour event that combined a non-stop stage program with a variety of family fun fair attractions.

The idea to stage the day sprung from feedback received from those who attended the very successful recent Unite Youth event.

“We responded when the community made it clear regular events help bring the neighbourhood together and were highly valued by residents,” Satterley CEO Nigel Satterley said.

“The fact such a big crowd attended vindicated our decision to arrange the holiday event.”

Mr Satterley said the Picnic in the Park was another example of the Group’s commitment to wholesome, healthy family entertainment.
